Embrace the Grain... | North Alabama Photographer

One day last week I went over to my sister's house to play with my nieces for a few hours & decided to get some practice out of the way on a few things I wanted to work on. I love working with natural light & try to not use my flash if not needed... but my flash has been a crutch that I've tirelessly leaned on & I'm really trying to get away from it. Luckily for me, I've got two adorable nieces that make fantastic models (a.k.a. guinea pigs) for me to practice on! I didn't even take my flash out of my bag the entire afternoon, and instead manipulated my camera's settings & the little bit of available light that I had to get these images... of course in some of them there's a bit of "grain" or "noise" as they call it, but i'm learning to embrace that!

I apologize for this post being so long...

... scratch that, I dont apologize, because it IS a photo blog, and this post is full of adorable little babies. No apology needed! :)
